Number porting home page
Automatic number porting allows numbers to be loaded directly onto a customer’s account.
The ported numbers become live straight away, allowing you to use them for outbound CLI presentation. This also enables you to configure number routing within the system. If needed, each ported number can be assigned a temporary number. This setup lets you point the old system (with the current live numbers) to the temporary numbers, so it's a great way to activate the new service at anytime, including over a weekend so everything is up and running by Monday morning.
The porting process continues in the background as usual. During this time, you can use the new system with your real numbers as the outbound CLI. You can build all the required routing, since the temporary and ported numbers work in tandem. You can also complete the e999 records in advance.
Once the numbers are fully ported, the temporary numbers will be removed from the account, leaving only the real numbers in place. The e999 information will also be updated to reflect the correct numbering.
