Music On Hold

This feature is found under Features Advanced and is used for uploading Music On Hold for the system to play to callers when on hold or waiting in a Queue.

Please be aware that you must conform to any legal performing rights society (PRS). You may need a licence to play some types of music.

Name

Enter a name for the Music On Hold (MOH)

Description

Give it a description to help you know the content of the MOH. Type

Select the type; this should be set to normal for uploading your music. If it is a streaming service, the option of ‘configured
in musiconhold.conf’ may be selected. You need to contact the service provider to complete this, as it is a system configuration.

Play files in order

You can then choose if you want the files to be played one after the other linearly or in a random format.

Go back into the Music On Hold you created and upload up to 10 different files that will be played to customers placed on hold or in a Queue.


Please note that this particular MOH must be assigned to a Number, Extension, Hunt Group, or Queue to play your new MOH.

Sound file to use

You can use sound files you have already loaded into the system under Features Advanced and the Sounds tab.

or .wav file upload

This will allow you to search for music on your device and upload it to the system. (keep in mind it needs to be in the format of 16 Bit, Mono, 8kHz)

Create your own audio file.

This option will take you to the TTS service so you can produce your own voice recording file.

 

To demonstrate your compliance with copyright licences, you must select the checkbox for ‘I have permission from the copyright owner to use this file. '
