Group Hold

Group Holding
If Group holding has been enabled on the telephone portal for you (speak to your telephone provider). You will see an extra icon on the left-hand side of the app window.

This clever function lets you place a call into a group holding position that others in the same group can see.
When you have a call in progress, pressing hold changes your options from a single local hold to 2 options.

This places the call on a group hold, allowing anyone in the group to view and take control of it. It's a great way to move calls around an office when you are all sitting close together, saving you the hassle of transferring.

It's easy to navigate calls on hold using the information displayed on screen. It shows who placed the call on hold and the hold location, if you need to tell someone where the call is on hold. Plus, the person who has called in.

The holding time shows how long someone has been waiting.

The recall time is a countdown that indicates how long the call will remain on hold before it returns to the person who placed it on hold. This time is set in the portal by your provider. This is to stop any calls from being forgotten.
