Page Groups

Page groups can be found under Features - Page Groups.

To make page extensions and make their speakers go off the hook, you need to set up a Page Group. Go to Page Groups and select ‘New’.

Page Group Settings

Name
Give it an appropriate name like ‘page whole office’.
Description
Give the paging group a description if you need more details.
Owner
You can allocate this paging group to a person (owner) within the system if you want them to administer itit, andas well as to the administrator.
Request Telephones to Auto-Answer
Select yes, as you need the handsets to auto-answer to go off-hook. If you select no, then the telephones will ring and not page. Please note that MobeX apps will not auto-answer.
Play Beep to Caller
Select ‘Yes’, and the system will play a tone at the beginning of the page so people are awareknow that a page announcement is coming next. If ‘No’ is selected thenselected, the voice will be the only thing heard.
Allow Destinations to Talk
This is OK if there is a small number of phones are being paged that are fairlyrelatively spread out. Keep in mind,mind that if this is set to ‘Yes’, then everyone can talk and everyone can hear what the others are saying. Please use it with caution.
Allow Destinations to Forward Calls
We recommend that this isbe set and left to ‘No’. As thisThis would mean that the paging call could be forwarded to another telephone handset, and the page would be heard there, or the telephone could be forwarded off to a mobilemobile, which means the page would add the call when someone answers.answers on the mobile.
Record Group
If you have already set up a Record Group,Group, then you can select a group to record the page calls.
Show in Reception Console
This will allow the Page Group to be seen in the Reception Console that is under the option at the top of the systems menu.

Call Rec Bundle

If you have a call recording bundle set up and this number has been allocated to the group, it will show herehere.

Show in the Reception Console
This will allow the QueuePage Group to be seen in the Reception Console that is under the option at the top of the systems menu.

Destinations

Once you have completed the Page Group settings, you need tomust add the destinations like the example below.above. To do this, click ‘Add Destination’ on the right. Select the Telephone you would like to add and click Save. Keep doing this until you have added all the telephones you wish to add to Page Group.

Other options for this page group.

Make copy

This will make an identical copy of the page group with all the settings the same and include the extensions that are in the group. The only exception is that it will not copy the call rec bundle settings over. If you want to add this to a call rec bundle,bundle, thisyou will need to beadd added.it.
