Pickup Groups + Direct call pickup
Pickup groups can be found in the menu under Features - Pickup Groups.
Pickup Groups are used forto takingtake calls from another ringing telephone Extension.extension. PerfectThey are perfect for an office where people need to answer each other's phones.phones. Our recommendation is to create pickup groups within the same area. We do not recommend creating one group for the whole office,office if people are in different offices or even different floors. This is because theThe system will allocate the longest ringing telephone, and thiswhich might be on a different floor, ratherfloor than the one you were trying to pick up across the office.
Pickup Group Settings
Name
Give the Pickup Group an appropriate name.
Description
Give the Pickup Group a description if you need more details.
Contains Extensions
Select the Extensions from the right-hand box and click add.Add. You can highlight groups of Extensions and move them all together to the left box. Once you have added the desired Extension,Extension, select save.
To Use the Feature
Press ** (Standard Feature Code)Code) to answer the call. You will receive the error ‘User busy’ if there is no call (answered by someone else) or you are not in the same group.
Direct Call pick-up
Using the provisioning system, you can create direct pickup buttons on the BLF (Busy Lamp Keys) on the handsets you are auto-provisioning.
It is possible to dial the direct pickup code manually by entering *** in front of the full 9-digit number
