Set Number Routing by Feature Code

This setup will include multiple menu options. All options can be found under the Feature menu.

PreviousTime & Dates sections covered automated routing, such as out-of-hours. However, setting night services manually can be achieved using ‘Set Number Routing’ by a feature code.

First, you must schedule a time and date route with NO time periods.  I know this doesn't sound right, but it will make sense further down in these instructions.

Goto Times and dates under features in the lefthand side menu

Create a time group. The example below has been named ‘manual override.’

Then, leave the time periods all empty.  MISSING SOUND FILE

You will now need to set up a couplefew of Feature Codes to enable and disable the manual routing you want to activate.

In the example aboutabove, a new code (*21) has been created. This code will now be routed to athe default destination of ‘set routing to time group’. The ‘Manual Overide’Override’ that was created earlier can be chosen.

Once this has been created.created, Youyou will then need a Feature Code to switch the routing back to the default destination. In the example belowbelow, Feature Code *22 has been used.

In this instance, the default destination has been directed to ‘set routing to default destination only’.

The last step in the process is to allocate the new manual override to the Number,Number or Feature Code you wish to switch to manually during out of out-of-office hours. This is the same process for the Feature Code.Code. This example will demonstrate the process with a Number.Number.

Open the Number you wish to control.

Go to ‘Update this number when setting numbers routing’. Change this option to ‘Yes’.

At the bottom of the Numbers pagepage, you will need tomust add the time group that was created earlier called ‘manual override’, and choose the new route you want these calls to go to when the service is activated.

Please note, note: youYou can still have multiple time groups on the same Number if you wantedwant the system to route calls somewhere else at a different time.
