People - system users

This section can be found under Features - Features—People. HereHere, you can add people whichwho will allowbe peopleable to loginlog in to the system. You can also change their access control type.type, Forsuch example, aas simple user or an administrator.

To add a new user/person clickClick new on the right-hand side.side to add a new user/person.

Complete all the boxes as required.

ThereYou aremust complete some boxes that you must complete before you can save the new person.

This will be used as the portal login name to the portal and must be totally unique. Setting a simple name like John will not be allowedallowed, as there could already be a John on the system already.system. We recommend that you use the person's email addressaddress, as this will more likely be unique.

This must also be completed as it is used for password recovery,recovery asand well as voicemail to email if the user/person is set as a mailbox owner.

Finally, the password must match and contain at least 10ten characters. This can be alphanumeric andor any of the special characters.

Security

To try and eliminate fraud and people logging in when they shouldn't.

We have 2two security methods that can be used.

1,  

This will send the user who is logging in with their password an email with aan OTP (one one-time password). Once this 6 6-digit pinPIN is enteredentered, the system and your computer will remember who you are and will not require you to loginlog in again using the OTP authentication until you have logged out again.

2,

This will only allow this user to log in from the listed IP addresses. This isn't so good as people may be logging in using their mobile phonesphones, and thiswhich will use multiple IP addresses from the mobile network pool of IP addresses. It Probablyis probably only useful if you know for sure that the user login will only be dedicated atto a single IP address.
