Set Number Routing by Feature Code

This setup will include multiple menu options. All options can be found under the Feature menu.

Automated routing has been covered in previous sections, such as out of hours. However, to set night services manually this can be achieved using ‘Set Number Routing’ by a Feature Code.

First, you will need to set up a time and date route with NO TIME PERIODS.

Goto Times and dates under features in the lefthand side menu

Create a time group. The example below has been named ‘manual override’

Then, leave the time periods all empty.  MISSING SOUND FILE

You will now need to set up a couple of Feature Codes to enable and disable the manual routing you want to activate.

In the example about a new code (*21) has been created. This code will now be routed to a default destination of ‘set routing to time group’. The ‘Manual Overide’ that was created earlier can be chosen.

Once this has been created. You will then need a Feature Code to switch the routing back to the default destination. In the example below Feature Code *22 has been used.

In this instance, the default destination has been directed to ‘set routing to default destination only’.

The last step in the process is to allocate the new manual override to the Number, or Feature Code you wish to switch to manually during out of office hours. This is the same process for the Feature Code. This example will demonstrate the process with a Number.

Open the Number you wish to control.

Go to ‘Update this number when setting numbers routing’. Change this option to ‘Yes’.

At the bottom of the Numbers page you will need to add the time group that was created earlier called ‘manual override’, and choose the new route you want these calls to go to when the service is activated.

Please note, you can still have multiple time groups on the same Number if you wanted the system to route calls somewhere else at a different time.
