Number porting home page
Automatic number porting. Allows numbers to be loaded directly onto a customer's account.
The ported numbers are live straight away, allowing you to use them as the outbound CLI. It also allows you to program the system for number routing. Each ported number can have a temporary number if required (your choice). This will enable you to point the old system with the current live numbers, to the temporary numbers. This is a great way to bring a customer into service over the weekend and have them up and running by Monday morning.
The porting numbers will progress in the background as usual (why oh why does it always take a long time?). This means the customer can be on the new system, using their 'real' numbers as their outbound CLI. You can create all the routing for their numbers, as the temporary number and the ported number work in tandem. You can even complete the e999 records.
Once the numbers are finally ported (horray), the temporary numbers will be removed from the account, leaving the real numbers in place. The e999 information will also be updated with the real numbering information.
