Feature Prefixes

Feature prefixes can be found under Features Advanced - Feature Prefixes.


This is used to create a dialling code before a number to enable a feature like custom Caller Identification or Set Call Forward.

Click ‘new’ at the bottom right to create a new feature prefix.

 

Enter the new feature prefix number you wish to use.

You can set a minimum and a maximum number of expected digits to follow. This could be useful, for example, by only allowing the call forward option to be set to the 4-digit
internal Extension number of another Extension.

Put in a description to help
describe the purpose of the prefix code and then set the desired feature.

Default Feature Prefixes

There are some default feature prefixes, as follows:

*71 Plus, dial your forward number - call forward on unconditional
*72 Plus, dial your forward number - call forward on busy
*73 Plus, dial your forward number - call forward on no answer
*74 Plus, dial your forward number - call forward on unregistered
141 Plus, the number you wish to call - Withhold
142 Plus, the number you wish to call - display your phone number

You can create your codes within a customer’s feature prefixes,prefixes and you can also override the standard default ones.

Example of a Feature Code Prefix

Call Barging

This feature allows a supervisor/supervisor or manager to monitor or tutor users by actively overseeing live calls. Using feature codes, usersManagers can whisper to the agent using feature codes or seamlessly join the conversation with both parties. Given the nature of this UC product, the agent or the supervisor could be workingwork at any location worldwide.
To do thisthis, go to Features Advanced, then Click on Feature Prefixes in the bottom right-hand corner, click on New and then enter a number, preferably with an asterisk at the front such as *00, and in the Purpose fieldfield, select either
1 Spy on last call to/from telephone
2 Spy onthe last call to/from telephone,the telephone
2 Spy on the last call to/from the telephone, talk to both parties
3 Spy on the last call to/from telephone,the telephone, talk to the calling party
When the supervisor wants to take partparticipate in a live callcall, they dial the feature code (*00) followed byand the extension number to connect.
