Classes of Service
Classes of Service can be found under Features - Classes of Service.
This feature allows you to bar Telephone LinesExtensions from being able to call certainspecific numbers or numbers starting with a particular area code. This helps reduce costs with expensive calls and can stop outbound call abuse. There are a number ofSeveral dialling codes, such as national numbersnumbers, startingstart with 01 and 02. There are also Non-Geographicnon-geographic numbers that replaced 08450845, and thiswhich is the 03 range of numbers. Most mobiles startbegin with 0707, but there are some personal numbers that are more expensive to call. The 08 number range has a mixed charging methodmethod, so thiswhich needs to be broken down. The 09 range is very expensive, and finally, numbers starting at 00 are international numbersnumbers, so these would normallygenerally be barred to reduce costs.
To makesimplify things easierthings, we have automatically generated a Class of ServiceService, andwhich we apply this to any new Extension that is created on the system. This is to try and help with phone abuseabuse. or ifIf a telephone Extension is hacked, it is limited to UK calls only.
