Voice call control - Hold, Transfer and other useful functions

 

After answering aan inbound voice callcall, you can choose to perform many functions.

To end the current call, press the red hang-up key, which will terminate the call.







 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

InputWhile in a call, you can mute and unmute your microphone. This will prevent the numberother toparty transferon the call from hearing anything you say. Don't forget to unmute yourself to rejoin the conversation.

Blind transfer

(Directly transfer the call to the user/number without speaking to them first).

Attended transfer


(Speak with the user before proceeding with the transfer).

Transfer the call - the call is then placed on hold, and the following option appears.

If you press the 'Hold' button, the current caller will be placed on hold. The button will change to a blue Resume button. Pressing the resume button will remove the current held call from the hold position, and the call will be connected with you again.
 Opening the keypad while on a call allows you to send DTMF tones if you are required to dial options when calling other companies or if you need to enter a PIN for banking.

When the key is pressed, a new pop-up window appears, displaying the dial keys that enable you to perform your digit dialling tasks.

 

To close the window, press the X on the top right of the screen.

Call Transfer

 

You can transfer a call to another party in several ways. You can even transfer a call before answering it. To perform a pre-answer transfer, follow this method.

 

 

Press the Transfer key to open the next screen.

Once this screen is open, you can transfer in a few different ways here as well. You can enter the number in the box provided using the number keys. Once you have the number on the screen, press

 

 

image.pngimage.png The blind transfer key pushes the initial caller onto the transferred choice (third party).

 

or

 

image.png The attended transfer key allows you to speak with the next caller before sending the call through.  It will open the following screen.

 

 

After the person has answered the call, and you have announced the first party caller. Press the 'Complete Transfer' button to move the call to the third party.

 

 

Keep in mind that the attended meathid takes more time, and there is a chance that, because the first call hasn't been answered yet, it could time out before you have a chance to finish the call.

 

Blind transfer would be the better option.

The other way is to drag the picture avatar over to the dial pad where the current inbound call is ringing.

 

If you drag and drop the avatar into the blind transfer box, the call will be blind transferred to the person with the extension corresponding to the picture avatar. 

 

or

 

If you want to announce the call before transferring, drag and drop the avatar to the attended transfer to proceed to the next screen below.
