Departments

Departments can be found under the Features Advanced Menu on the left-hand side.

Departments are used for grouping extensions, numbers, hunt groups, queues, and other services together, allowing them to be charged collectively under a department/site. It is also used for grouping extensions to facilitate easier creation of groups in the MobeX suite of apps. It is also used to group users of the extensions within the Cloud Phonebook.
	To create a new department, click the "New" button located at the bottom right of the page. Please give it a name that clearly identifies the group. Then enable the purpose. Extensions are used for MobeX use and Cloud Phonebook. Billing is used for charging and grouping on invoicing.
Using for Extensions
Under Cloud Phonebook, you can now add departments to the extensions.
	If the extensions are already linked to a contact, then this can also be linked to a department.
*Please note:* Unless a contact is linked to an internal extension. The department name provided here is for informational purposes only, as it pertains to an external contact.
