Making a call

You can make a call using the MobeX UC app in many ways.


Using the dial box

You can dial the number in the box provided on the app's main page. The number format can start with a 0 (zero), then the ten digits.

Or you can dial using +44, then the number starting with a zero.

Finally, the number using +44 and the zero removed.

When you press the image.pnghandset icon, the number will be called out.

If you are using a desk handset, this will auto-answer and the call will be made, however, if you are using another app to make the call, you may need to press the answer key being the call is dialled out.

When the call rings, the pop-up will display information about the call.

  • The top line is the number/name you are calling from
  • The middle line is the number you are calling
  • The bottom line is the name of the person you are calling if the name is matched in the cloud phonebook.

Using the Copy to Call function

If you have the Clipboard calls function enabled, You can highlight a number from any piece of software you are using to make a call out.

A pop-out window will appear, and you can see the number that has been copied. You can press the call button to make the call or cancel to remove the window. You may also edit the number that has been copied in case you want to make a change to it, or you may not have highlighted the whole number.

 

You can also highlight more than just the number and the app will remove any unwanted letters that

As you can see it has removed the 'dashes' in the number on the left.

 

TEL function of browsers and other apps

 

If you are using a browser or other apps that allow the use of the TEL protocol. This can link with the MobeX UC client to make calls on this particular browser or app. When you hover over a number on a webpage, the mouse pointer will turn into a finger, meaning you can click the number, which has a dynamic link in it, to perform a function. In this example, its to dial a number.

Click the Open pick an app.

You can then select the MobeX UC app that will link to the TEL option in Microsoft Windows. Once chosen, click always so that it will just dial the number for you rather than going through the setup process each time.

The dial box window will appear with the number you wish to dail.
